Luckily, in spite of the snow, the spring flowers are leading the way and gardens and verges are coming alive with the beautiful blue, yellow and pastel shades that we often associate with this time of year.
This season’s colours
Spring runways have also been alive with our favourite pastel hues, with dusky rose, pale lavender, breezy greens and blues, and soft peaches making an appearance.
Pastels feature heavily in the trend report issued by the Pantone Colour Institute for spring 2018, and here at Lands’ End we have followed suit and put together a fresh spring collection that we are sure you will love, and which will definitely brighten up your day!
Pastels are a timeless classic and thanks to their colour-match versatility it’s easy to be chic without looking washed out!
Artist Marc Chagall famously said of the colour spectrum that ‘All colours are friends of their neighbours, and lovers of their opposites,’ and pastels can look great with other soft colour tones. Our Harbour Trench Coat looks fantastic with cream or white trousers.
And of course, pastel colours compliment the neutral tones that are the staples of any wardrobe – soft creams and greys, mossy greens, blacks and navy blues. So, don’t be afraid to pair up a Washed Terracotta Denim Jacket with indigo jeans, or a Pale Peach Smock Top with a pair of khaki green shorts.
With summer only a few months off, this is a great time to start experimenting with new shades and outfit ensembles that will work through spring, summer and into autumn. Pastels are really big this year, so be bold, be brave, and have fun!
